Directory of Resource Persons and InstitutionsCARBON CAPTURE AND STORAGE TECHNOLOGY: R&D Initiatives in India, a joint publication of Department of Science & Technology, Govt. of India, and Resource Development Centre, New Delhi.

Department of Science & Technology has adopted an Inter-sectoral approach for addressing the multi-disciplinary issues. Scientific papers on research initiatives are grouped in four sections dealing with Research Initiatives in Pre-combustion capture, Post-combustion capture, Terrestrial and Geological storage and CO2 Sequestration using EOR, ECBM and plasma technology. Research in carbon capture and storage technology in India is driven by the sustainable development needs in the use of coal as source of power and the concerns for energy security. It is multi-disciplinary research having implicit role in mining, coal cleaning, combustion, geological research and oil basin chemistry.

5. Proceedings NCR-PROBE Programme

Proceedings NCR-PROBE ProgrammeThe Proceedings NCR-PROBE Programme is a joint publication of RDC and the Department of Science and Technology, Government of India. The Department of Science and Technology (DST) under its Inter-Sectoral Science and Technology Advisory Committee (IS-STAC) has taken an initiative to launch a scheme on participation of youth in schools in acquisition, generation, use and dissemination of field data. Under the scheme, a programme entitled Participation of youth in Real-time / field Observation to Benefit Education (PROBE) has been conceived for the National Capital Region (NCR) and the programme is named as NCR-PROBE.

The present publication contains views, remarks and papers of eminent scientists, academics and policy makers in the areas of meteorology and environmental education.
